Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2009

Though I like to run, I have never participated in a running event on my own accord. This year, my company is sponsoring the registration fees for the Standard Chartered Marathon. I took up the offer and went for the 21km run.
Jit joined the same run for the first time as well. It was great to have a friend to run together. The motivation helped to ensure I did not stop to walk. We managed to finish the run in below 3 hours. My time is 2:38:09. This is good considering we did not train hard for this.
The experience is a good one. I hope I can participate in more of such running events in future.
Ten Magic Keys of communication

I had the opportunity to attend a talk on communications at my workplace. The title of the course is Ten Magic Keys of Communication. David Goldwich is the speaker. I think that he is a talented speaker who was able to catch my attention for the whole of the 2 hours.
G-Force

Originally I had thought that this is a cartoon. I am pleasantly surprised that the animated characters look quite life-like. Story wise this movie is quite thin in the plot. I did not enjoy this movie.
Overheard

A quick paced movie about 3 policemen who did a crime. They found themselves having to cover up and get into more trouble. Not too bad I think.
Where got Ghost?

A free movie. I am glad I did not pay for this movie. The 3 stories are lame and the computer graphics were from last decade. Not recommanded.
Threads of Destiny

I got free tickets from a local radio station. This movie is about a tragic girl with all the bad things happening to her. Not a good movie. Not recommanded.
DD-WRT on Asus WL520GU

My linksys WRT54GC failed me after 4 good years and after much research and ponder, I finally got myself the Asus WL520GU wireless router for $85. It comes with a usb connector for printer server. The interface of original firmware( version 3.0.0.8) for this router is better than that in Linksys. I like the QoS function of this router. Best of all, the firmware can be flashed with more functionality! (continue reading…)
Night at the Museum 2

Not too bad for a sequel. I have not watched the first show so there is no comparison. I had little problems following this story, though there were some small references to the story in the first show.
