Two Door Theory

The scenario is usually like this:
There is a passage way with 2 doors. There are people wanting to go through that door from both sides. One door is already opened. The people flow in one direction has already established. People from the other side wanting to go against the flow just wait for the current flow of people to clear.
I had seen too many of such stupid events happening all over the place. Has it ever occurred to participants of the above scenario that there are TWO doors. A really simple solution is just to open up the other door and people from both sides of the door can walk through the same passage way at the same time!. Even everyone wants to go through the door in the same direction, more people can walk through the same door at the same time if BOTH doors are opened at the same time! I think that either the people are just too lazy to open the other door or they are just too stupid to think. Either way, I am neither.
It never fails to amuse me whenever I find my two doors theory at work. I will always try and open the other door whenever I can. Why should I wait at the door when I can walk out of it faster, without feeling stupid while queuing up needlessly.
