This is the first time I have paid money for a visit to a exhibition.

This aerospace exhibition let me gain some insight on the cool technologies behind the flying men and heavy metals.

Me and my father left for the exhibition quite early and got to the Pasir Ris interchange to find a long long long long long long long long long long queue already formed up for the bus ride to the exhibition location. Though the queue was long, there were plenty of buses to load and cary the people over to the location.

The bus traveled along the same way to the Tekong ferry terminal. At Changi village, there was a road block. I see many huge tents set up and the bus was signaled to detour into the vacant carpark. All the standing passangers on bus had to alight while the policemen board the bus and inspect. The inspection was speedy and soon we continue on our way.

The bus went all the way to somewhere near the ferry terminal and made a U turn and we alight and need to walk quite a distance to get to the entrance, which is just opposite the ferry terminal. As expected, there was a long queue again to get in. This time, we need to be scanned for metal objects and bombs.

Though on map, the place seemed small, on the ground, the place is quite big. There were many tents for exhibitions. I saw many many planes here at the static display. Though there were some friendlier pilots around who talked to the public, there were also many not so friendly looking people within their own areas who shut themselves out from the public. Maybe they did better during the trade days. I don’t know. There were also many “shops” already closed and packing up or already gone when I saw them in the tents.

A big draw for the show is the flight display. I was looking forward to some nice synchronized air flight display by 3 or 5 planes . There was none. The planes came out one by one. I managed to get some pictures of the A380 airbus after nearly one hour of standing. This is the newest taxi by SIA. It is said to be able to carry 555 passangers.

After that, we went to the exhibition tents and collect some picture shoots.

It was a pity that I was too shy to talk to a Singaporean pilot when my
father requested him to take a picture with me. I should ask him about
his training…

My face is red. Think I am slightly sun burnt. There wasn’t much sun in this cloudy-going-to-rain day. I am surprised when I see myself in the mirror.

We went home around 3. After about 5 hours in there. This was to avoid the leaving crowd at 6. I must say the Singapore has done a good job in maintaining the secruity.
Hope I can get to see some pictures from the next airshow in November at China.

Today is my first Valentine day with summer. She had spent a long time preparing her presents for me.

This is one photo frame with more than 32 hours put in to stitch the nice design on. I like this very much.

She has not baked anything before after she left secondary school. And this is the product of her hard work. The best of the best out of more than 5 batches of cookie baking sessions.

And what did I get for her?

Vday is never complete without flowers. These lilies are bought from some students in school. They gave me lousy flowers.

This is the card I made for summer darling. I spoilt the card while making it. Some parts of the card has the shiny
blue surface dropped off, while some part of the paper cracked. The
humming bird do not look as nice as my prototype. Sigh

Last but not least, some cookies me and my buddies made for our SO. They look ugly but they taste nice

I enjoyed the whole day with summer today. I am happy to get the presents from her and that she liked what I have for her.

Dinner was served at Cafe Cartel. We did not make any reservations and hence we waited about 15 minutes to get 2 seats

We had a enjoyable day before she went for her night classes. I waited for her class to end before sending her home.

Summer: Thanks for the presents

The Asian Areoapace Show is coming to Singapore agian.

It has a pricy $22 entry ticket with booking charge. I hope I am able to get some student concession. I have missed so many times and am determined to go for it this year. I have always wanted to see a live flying display live. They seem so nice and exciting on the tv screen. It must be must be much better to be able to see, hear and feel the planes flying above my head in the organised manner.

I wonder if I can get a few friends to come along with me, though I think the place and the price will put off many of my good friends.

I do not look at myself in the mirror much but I think I walk around with a black face most of the time. I think I look silly when I smile… haha. I think I look better acting cool. But then I need more practise because I believe my face look more like a black face instead.

Being shy does not help. I seldom greet people when I see them. I am actually a friendly person though I open up slowly to new people.

Stress too helps to harden my black face. I am not stressed about work. I am stress about me not worrying and working hard about my work to be done. I wonder where is my drive for getting work done. I shall work on it and get my energy back. I shall not give in. If I am as hardworking as I were in my year 1, I believe I can get more job interviews now. I shall keep on seeking for that suitable job. Hopefully it’s one that does away with programming. It’s really fun at the beginning but now I think it is boring. Day dreaming about a nice job will get me nowhere. I shall sit up and look actively after my FYP report.
