There was a earthquake today in Sumatra.
I was discussing something with my boss when it happened. The whole building was vibrating. She was standing beside me. I was seated, with my legs above the wheels. I was affected by the movement. I was shaken out of place on wheels. I told her EARTHQUAKE. She said no. I am shaking the chair myself. Only when many people stood up and started to talk about it when she believed me.
Some people grabbed their bags and were heading for the exit. Soon most of the people decided to leave the building for early lunch. We did likewise, bringing 2 interviewees along. It must have been a memorable experience for them to experience this right before their interview.
After lunch, we got back to work. While I was talking to my colleagues, the second termor came about. It looked and felt as though someone was pushing the partition.
I am glad that nothing falls from the termors. Hopefully things are not that bad at Sumatra where the core action originated.
