Similar Telco campaign

Having returned from Sydney, I notice a new advertising campaign by a local telecommunications company. The moment I see it, I got reminded of a certain telecommunications company in Australia having a similar campaign.
Both companies have special website set up – http://youdeservebetter.sg and http://www.wehearyou.com.au. Both campaigns seemed to suggest that they are customer oriented.
Interestingly, both companies are not the largest company in their country. This seems to imply that the customers of other companies are suffering injustice and the underdog company will try and make things better.
Is this so?
