Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2009

Though I like to run, I have never participated in a running event on my own accord. This year, my company is sponsoring the registration fees for the Standard Chartered Marathon. I took up the offer and went for the 21km run.
Jit joined the same run for the first time as well. It was great to have a friend to run together. The motivation helped to ensure I did not stop to walk. We managed to finish the run in below 3 hours. My time is 2:38:09. This is good considering we did not train hard for this.
The experience is a good one. I hope I can participate in more of such running events in future.
